Adams Manufacturing Corp. grew from Bill Adams’s late-1970s effort to make safer window-display suction cups into a Portersville, Pennsylvania, injection-molding manufacturer of suction cups and outdoor furniture. The company’s patented light-diffusing design addresses the scorching problem that can occur when suction cups focus sunlight, and its U.S.-made products are produced at a facility employing nearly 300 people. Adams describes itself as a family business and is now part of Keter.
