The company traces its roots to Haviland Clay Works, founded in 1903 to produce clay tile, and was among the first to manufacture plastic drainage tubing in 1978. • OSI PlasticsFounded in Columbus in 1975 to address a shortage of plastic sewer pipe, OSI Plastics now makes pipe and custom plastic profile extrusions for customer-specified designs. The Ohio Steel Industries division has remained in the extrusion business for more than 40 years, with particular experience producing HDPE duct for telecommunications and utility infrastructure.
