AllGuard Products is the company behind TeakGuard, a specialty teak-care system for boat owners and people maintaining outdoor wood. Its water-based finish and Super Cleaner are designed to preserve teak’s natural look while reducing the repeated sanding, stripping, and oiling that traditional upkeep can require.
BARNAGARDBorn from Dr. Reed Phillips’s effort to protect an ocean-wave electricity generator from barnacles, BARNAGARD develops patented, environmentally friendly coatings that prevent biofouling on submerged marine and freshwater surfaces. Its two-layer polymer technology is designed to repel attaching organisms while protecting against those that break through, with applications ranging from boat hulls to docks and other infrastructure. The company says its coatings are designed for at least five years of service and do not leach active agents into surrounding water.
Country Casual TeakFounded in 1977 after its founder was inspired by English garden benches, Country Casual Teak designs and manufactures solid teak outdoor furniture, carrying that British tradition into contemporary collections and custom projects. The company uses Grade A teak from sustainable, government-managed Indonesian forests, kiln-dries it for up to six weeks, and builds its furniture with traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery. Its custom team also works with design professionals on one-of-a-kind installations, while independent testing and more than 35 patented or copyrighted designs reflect nearly five decades of teak expertise.GAITHERSBURG, MD
