RocketStarFounded in 2014 by Christopher Craddock, New York-based RocketStar develops space propulsion and communications technology, from reusable aerospike rocket engines to the FireStar™ family of water-fueled plasma thrusters. Its FireStar™ Fusion Drive builds on that thruster with aneutronic nuclear fusion, while the Phoenix Eye™ software suite applies deep-space signal processing to secure communications and GPS-denied navigation. The company’s small team of scientists and engineers is pursuing more accessible space transportation and mission systems.NEW YORK, NY
Belen AerospaceFounded by former U.S. Air Force member and physician Alfred Belen III in 2021, Belen Aerospace is developing Internal Atmospheric Propulsion, a proposed electric jet system that uses compressed gas inside a closed container to generate thrust for space travel. The company is advancing the concept through computational-fluid-dynamics simulations, prototype development, and its Jets in Space podcast, with the stated goal of lowering the cost of transporting materials through space.
Voyager TechnologiesVoyager Technologies builds mission-critical defense and space systems, spanning propulsion, advanced electronics, orbital infrastructure and spectrum-dominance technologies for missions from Earth to the Moon and beyond. Founded in 2019, the Denver-based company has grown by bringing twelve specialized aerospace and technology companies into its enterprise. Voyager says its systems and services have supported more than 2,000 space missions for customers in over 35 nations, including work through the Bishop Airlock, the first and only permanent commercially owned module on the International Space Station.CLEVELAND, OH
Panam In SpacePanam In Space is developing polar-coordinate metal 3D-printing systems for building modular rockets and other large structures in space. Its largest machine has an eight-foot-diameter build platform, while smaller systems in development are aimed at commercial, university, and research users. The company’s broader vision is a rotating space city designed to provide artificial gravity and support on-demand manufacturing beyond Earth.ERWINNA, PA
