Founded in 1984 as a spin-off of RWTH Aachen University, AMEPA develops and implements measurement systems for quality assurance in steel, aluminum, and automotive production. Based in Würselen, Germany, the company is particularly known for electromagnetic and thermographic slag detection, while its contactless systems also monitor metal-strip surface and oil-film conditions during production. More than 500 AMEPA systems are installed in over 50 countries, supported by subsidiaries and a worldwide service network.
