Founded in Pittsburgh in 2017 by industrial designer Aaron Pizzuti, American 4WD rebuilds classic Jeeps from rust-free donor vehicles, updating their performance and reliability while preserving their original character. Pizzuti brings nearly a decade designing at Chrysler—including serving as primary inventor and design lead for the Jeep Hurricane concept—along with experience at Nike and a lifelong start in his father’s automotive repair shop. The studio’s work is guided by “practical permanence,” with current projects including Grand Wagoneers and other vintage Jeep builds made to last.
