Founded in 2002 by microwave engineer Fawad Maqbool, AmpliTech Group has spent more than two decades building a U.S.-based RF engineering business around difficult signal-performance problems. The Hauppauge company now operates as a vertically integrated signal technology group whose in-house chip design supports communications hardware used by defense contractors, satellite operators, telecommunications companies, and quantum-computing researchers. Its American-designed 64T64R Massive MIMO radio is a notable extension of that original amplifier expertise into Open RAN 5G.
