Born from a family’s experience with the limits of single-use catheter coverage, Aurie develops an automatically reusable catheterization system designed to give catheter users more independence. Founded in 2018, the company builds its products in partnership with disabled people and draws on a team spanning industrial design, medical-device development, urology, and engineering. Its Aurie System has received U.S. FDA marketing authorization through the Class II De Novo pathway and is planned for initial availability through select Veterans Health Administration spinal cord injury hospitals.
