Founded by Mohammad Fazlul Azim, Azim Group has made garment manufacturing its core business since launching Bangladesh’s second organized garment factory on January 23, 1980. The Bangladesh-based group now operates 13 garment units and four backward-linkage factories, employing more than 20,000 people, while also working in steel engineering and rural agriculture. Its steel arm, Global Steel and Engineering Ltd., began production in 2018 at a 30-acre Dhamrai facility, extending the group’s manufacturing reach into infrastructure.
