Founded in 2018 by Navy veteran and Naval Academy graduate Shawn D. James, Back Creek Canvas makes custom marine canvas and upholstery for boats around Annapolis and the Chesapeake Bay. Based at Horn Point Harbor Marina, the shop draws on James’s sailing experience and training with certified Master Fabric Craftsmen to build canvas with clean finishes designed to withstand the elements. Back Creek Canvas is also certified as service-disabled veteran-owned and veteran-owned.
