Born from an ironworker father-and-son team’s effort to make a stroke survivor’s closet easier to reach, Be Clever Company LLC makes patented rotating closet rods and truck-access steps. The family says that solution became the world’s first metal rotating closet rod, and its American-made Clever Closet Rod System now brings clothes forward while making better use of tight closets.
Rotating ClosetsRotating Closets makes the Closet Carousel®, a motorized home-clothing conveyor that brings garments to hand while making better use of closet space. Originally designed by Mort Weiss in the mid-1980s, the system is manufactured exclusively in the United States by Railex Conveyor Corporation, which brings more than 70 years of clothing-conveyor experience to its production. The Closet Carousel has been installed in thousands of homes and even appeared in films including *Clueless*.COPIAGUE, NY

ANKHGEARANKHGEAR grew from an engineer, an occupational therapist, and a family member’s struggle with jacket zippers into a maker of adaptive apparel and the patented MagZip magnetic zipper. Its MagZip aligns and connects at the base, helping people with limited dexterity zip independently, while ANKHGEAR also supplies the zipper for brands and do-it-yourself garment projects. The company’s Freedom hoodies and related gear carry that original practical idea into everyday clothing.PITTSFORD, NY
