Since 1956, Berner International has manufactured air curtains—also called air doors—that create an air barrier across open doors to help hold indoor temperatures, control flying insects and limit fumes. The U.S. manufacturer has helped establish air curtains as a recognized alternative to vestibules in ASHRAE and IECC building codes, with many units independently tested to AMCA Standard 220. Its products serve settings from main entrances and food-service openings to industrial doors as high as 50 feet, including hazardous and washdown environments.
