Founded in 1896 as The Burger Iron & Wire Works Company, BICO Steel is a Mogadore, Ohio steel service center that processes steel plate and forged blocks for industrial customers. Its history runs from ornamental iron and structural steel—including framing Akron’s 1931 First National Tower—to today’s one-stop processing operations, housed in facilities totaling more than 150,000 square feet. BICO says it is the only company offering both steel plate and forged block processing, with offices across the United States and Canada.
