Since 1972, Bird-in-Hand Bake Shop has been a family-owned Lancaster County bakery making homemade breads, pies and other baked goods fresh daily. Current owners Calvin and Janell Groff are preserving recipes passed down through the generations, including the shop’s shoo-fly pie, voted No. 1 for 10 consecutive years. Set in the heart of Amish country, the bake shop also serves as a family destination with locally made crafts, a petting zoo and outdoor play areas.
