Founded in 2002 by British-car specialist and former Navy-certified aircraft mechanic Joe Curto, British Superior makes parts and rebuild kits for vintage S.U. and Zenith Stromberg carburetors while restoring the carburetors themselves. Curto built the business from repairing British sports cars in his parents’ Queens Village garage, carrying forward patterns and molds from Salcorp, a longtime supplier to Beck-Arnley and Moss Motors. Most of the company’s products are manufactured and assembled in the United States, with machine work available for worn bushings and throttle shafts.
