Cadbury makes chocolate and other confectionery, growing from John Cadbury’s 1824 grocery shop in Birmingham into the brand behind Dairy Milk, Creme Egg and other familiar treats. Its Bournville factory, conceived as a “factory in a garden,” became known not only for chocolate production but also for unusually progressive worker welfare and community support. Cadbury is now part of Mondelēz International and marked 200 years in 2024.
