Founded in 2000 by a pulp-and-paper equipment sales manager and a chief engineer, CEM Machine builds large industrial wood chippers and microchip processors in an 80,000-square-foot machine shop in Carthage, New York. Its experienced regional workforce also designs, repairs, and services parts for other heavy machinery, including whole-log splitters and hydro turbines. CEM’s signature Ultra Chip is custom-built for each mill, with in-house innovations such as the SimpleSet disc adjuster and LiteKnife system aimed at safer, more precise chip production.
