Founded in 2007 on precipitation-based manufacturing expertise developed over decades at Eastman Kodak, Rochester’s Cerion Nanomaterials designs, scales and manufactures custom inorganic nanoparticles for industrial products and systems. Its scientists build metal, metal oxide and ceramic nanomaterials from the ground up, controlling particle size and other technical attributes rather than offering off-the-shelf materials. Cerion’s Eastman Business Park plant has grown from 5 to more than 150 metric tons of annual capacity, supporting customers in more than 40 industries from proof of concept through commercialization.
