Established in 2002, Chesapeake Coffee Roasters locally roasts specialty coffee with a mission tied to community, clean water, and environmental health in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. The Crofton roaster produces an average of 6,230 pounds a week, including certified organic and Bird Friendly® coffees, while directing support toward conservation efforts such as oyster restoration and habitat protection. Its wholesale program also helps cafés, restaurants, retailers, and other food-service businesses build coffee programs around freshly roasted beans.
