For more than 40 years, Christie's House of Pipes & Cigars has operated in Waynesboro as a tobacco shop and the home of Eric E. Christie's handmade pipes. Christie learned pipe making as a 1980s apprentice to Pennsylvania pipemaker Richard C. Johnson, then returned to his father's tobacco store and began crafting pipes from well-aged Mediterranean briar. The shop also hand-blends its own natural pipe tobaccos, packaged to order for freshness, alongside imported handmade cigars and smoking accessories.
