Family-owned Columbus Marble Works has been designing and manufacturing memorials and architectural stonework in Columbus, Mississippi, since 1846. Now operated by the heirs of Thomas Arthur McGahey, the fifth generation of McGaheys is active in the business, which works from a more-than-130,000-square-foot plant combining computer-controlled machinery with hands-on stonecraft. Its custom work ships throughout the United States and to several other countries.
