Founded in 1996 as CORE Materials Corp., CORE Molding Technologies grew from the acquisition of Columbus Plastics into a North American manufacturer of large structural products. The Columbus-based company now operates six facilities with 1.5 million square feet of manufacturing, warehouse and office space, supporting OEM customers whose products depend on engineered composite materials.

• Port Erie PlasticsFamily-owned Port Erie Plastics has molded custom plastic parts in Harborcreek, Pennsylvania, since Henry J. Witkowski founded the company with one injection molding machine in 1953. Today, its 615,000-square-foot complex supports nearly 90 molding machines and about 400 full-time employees, with particular depth in large-part and structural foam production for high-volume OEM programs.
