Crayola makes children’s creative-expression products, with its iconic crayon first introduced in 1903 and major manufacturing facilities still based in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley, the company’s home since the early 1900s. Founded in 1885 as a pigment business by cousins Edwin Binney and C. Harold Smith, Crayola now also manufactures Silly Putty and extends its creative mission through entertainment and hands-on Crayola Experience attractions. It has been part of Hallmark Cards since 1984.
