Founded by perfumers Felix Buccellato and Raman Patel, Custom Essence designs and manufactures natural and fine fragrances from its Somerset, New Jersey, facility. For more than 40 years, the independent family-owned company has combined perfumery with scientific development, and its founders’ children have carried that culture into the next generation. Acquired by Givaudan in 2021, Custom Essence continues to operate as a boutique fragrance partner with direct collaboration between clients, perfumers and marketers.
