Rochester-based DARKMATTER Sciences develops and manufactures variable composite materials that direct kinetic energy, with its technology first introduced in energy-dispersal pads for ballistic armor. A wholly owned subsidiary of Monarc, the company makes its materials in the USA and applies the same energy-management approach to armor integration, fitment systems, and protection for critical infrastructure. Its Energy Dispersal Pads are field tested and Gold rated through the National Tactical Officers Association’s Member Tested & Recommended program.
