About

Born from a Sydney family’s confectionery shop, Darrell Lea has been making soft-eating licorice and other sweets in Australia since 1927. Its signature licorice was invented in a factory beneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge and is now exported to the United States, where the company employs part of a 500-person international workforce. Darrell Lea’s Australian-made treats are made without palm oil and use 100% sustainably sourced cocoa.
