Founded in Cleveland by William Day in 1919, Day Piston Company manufactures pistons for the automotive and air-compressor markets from its Cleveland, Ohio factory. The company remained in the Day family through three generations before transitioning to private ownership in 2022, while a fourth-generation family member, Clyde “Skip” Jones, contributed more than 40 years to operations.
