Founded by restoration artist David Fuentes in 1993, DF Conservation restores and conserves period and contemporary furniture, woodwork, and wooden architectural objects from its Red Hook, Brooklyn studio. Its approach centers on preserving original patinas and the integrity of each piece, using reversible materials whenever possible and following the American Institute for Conservation’s code of ethics. The studio also brings its conservation work on-site for architectural elements and built-in cabinetry.
