Born from Eileen’s family cheesecake recipe, Eileen’s Special Cheesecake has been hand-making fresh cheesecakes in downtown Manhattan since 1975. The women-run family business is now carried on by Eileen’s daughters, Holly Maloney and Bonnie Ponte, at the original bakery, where some employees have worked for more than 40 years. Its light, creamy New York-style cakes are made with real ingredients and hand-applied details rather than factory production.
