Founded in 1999 by two siblings who wanted to share the flavors of their Thai upbringing, Exotic Food PCL has grown from a small trading company into a Thai food manufacturer with more than 300 employees across three locations. • Mama Lam'sFrom a homesick Malaysian immigrant’s family recipe to a Queens kitchen, Mama Lam’s makes small-batch curry pastes and sauces rooted in the flavors of Ulu Yam, Malaysia. Mama Lam and her daughter Cassandra launched the company in 2016 after decades of preparing the recipes for family gatherings, and the products are still made family-style in New York City.
• Caribbean Food DelightsFounded in the Bronx in 1978 by Jamaican immigrants Vincent and Jeanette HoSang, Caribbean Food Delights remains a privately owned, second-generation HoSang family company. Its Tappan operation has grown from those humble beginnings into a 103,000-square-foot manufacturing facility serving customers with frozen Jamaican-style patties.
