Born from Philadelphia firefighter Eric Allen’s experience with downed personnel in hazardous spaces, FAST Rescue Solutions makes the FAST Rescue Board and develops hands-on training for first responders. Founded by Allen and entrepreneur Sam Cohen in September 2015, the company designed its flagship rescue platform to combine emergency evacuation with technical rope rescue, initially to remove a firefighter from a basement. Its subject-matter-expert team brings more than a century of combined experience across firefighting, technical rescue, law enforcement and military training, while the company’s patented FAST Board has since been adapted for varied rescue operations.
