Since 1973, family-owned Fieldtex Products has grown from a six-person tent and awning shop into a Rochester, New York, contract manufacturer of sewn medical and military goods, with medical-supplies fulfillment and OTC benefit services alongside its sewing division. The company operates from an 86,000-square-foot facility with more than 200 employees, including an in-house design team and over 125 sewing machines. Sanford Abbey’s son Jonathan took over in 2019, continuing the family’s ownership of a business that has steadily expanded from carrying cases into healthcare and government-focused manufacturing.
