Founded by Charles Flickinger after a formative glass-bending class in 1983, Flickinger Glassworks has handmade custom bent and curved glass in Brooklyn since 1985. Now based in Red Hook, the shop combines generations of glass-bending knowledge with modern production to make curved windows, architectural pieces, and lighting components, while also creating handcrafted glassware. Its long history includes surviving Superstorm Sandy and continuing under Eric Powell, who took over ownership in 2022.
