Founded in 1949, Franke GmbH develops and manufactures wire race bearings and linear guide systems at its Aalen headquarters. Its bearing principle allows housings made from materials ranging from steel and aluminium to plastics or carbon fibre, giving engineers unusual freedom to create compact, lightweight, application-specific designs. Franke also supports those designs with in-house prototype work, testing and bearing refurbishment, while its new Plant 6 expands production of high-end bearings for applications such as computer tomography and baggage scanning.
