Born from a 1977 flood cleanup in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, GapVax builds vacuum and jetting trucks for sewer, stormwater, industrial and excavation work. Rose and Gary Poborsky began with a used septic truck, then started welding their own equipment after manufacturers ignored their ideas; today, the family-owned manufacturer builds customized trucks at its Johnstown facility. Each truck is documented, individually painted for corrosion protection and tested for about 20 hours before leaving the factory.
