Founded in Remscheid in 1896 as a small tool forge, Gebr. Lennartz GmbH & Co. KG now manufactures high-performance circular saw blades and other sawing tools for industrial metal cutting. The company made the world’s first carbide-tipped circular saw blade for cutting steel in 1966 and began series production of that technology in 1970. With about 250 employees across five locations, Lennartz produces blades up to 2,500 mm in diameter and supplies customers in more than 80 countries.
