GardynGardyn makes compact indoor vertical gardens that use hydroponics, sensors, and an AI gardener named Kelby to grow fresh produce at home year-round. Founded by CEO FX Rouxel, the company designs systems that fit in two square feet while automating lighting, watering, and plant monitoring, with options growing up to 30 plants at once. Its yCubes include more than 100 non-GMO, pesticide-free varieties, and Gardyn says more than 100,000 households are already growing with its systems.BETHESDA, MD
Empire State Greenhouses, LLCEmpire State Greenhouses is developing carbon-negative controlled-environment crop factories that combine year-round organic food production with on-site renewable energy and waste-to-energy systems. The company’s team has developed, financed, advised on, or evaluated more than 600 renewable-energy and energy-efficiency projects over the past decade.NEW YORK, NY
EnvironexFounded in 1990 by catalytic reaction engineering expert Dr. Robert Becker, Malvern-based Environex provides independent engineering, consulting, and laboratory services for catalytic emissions control systems. Its team of chemical engineers, scientists, and laboratory technicians brings more than 140 years of combined experience to SCR and CO catalyst performance, while also developing customized ozone-destruction catalysts for applications such as cabin air and indoor air quality. Unlike a catalyst supplier, Environex does not sell catalyst products, allowing its recommendations to focus on system performance and long-term operating needs.333413MALVERN, PA
