Started by Doug Cooper as a basement hobby in 2010, Goldberry Roasting Company now produces small-batch specialty coffee at its family-owned roastery in Ashland, Ohio. Doug’s son Pete joined in 2019, turning the business into a family legacy built around carefully developed roast profiles and close relationships with coffee farmers, including partners in Mexico’s Sierra Norte region. Goldberry also works through its sister nonprofit, Coffee Growing Community, to help farming families improve the quality and market value of their coffee.
