GreenGate3D turns scrap plastics into 100% recycled, American-made 3D-printing filament and PET-G pellets. The venture grew out of Universal Composites, a plastics recycler founded by Phil Silberfeld in 1994 that has diverted millions of pounds from landfills, and began exploring 3D printing in 2018. Today, GreenGate3D uses the same recycled PET-G in its own filament production, with more than 125,000 pounds of pellets held in-house for supply continuity.
