Founded in 2020 by New York product designer Yeojin Seong, Haroo Planner creates minimal, functional planning tools designed to make everyday organization feel simpler. Its undated planner is distinguished by a water-resistant vegan-leather cover made from hanji, a traditional Korean mulberry paper, and an interior that combines planning with space to track habits and remember meaningful moments. Haroo remains a small business operated from Yeojin’s NYC studio.
Forage Paper CoFounded in 2015 by illustrator Christina Chun, Forage Paper Co. creates whimsical stationery and paper goods that turn hand-painted scenes of nature and everyday life into cards and thoughtful gifts. Suji CeramicsFrom a New York studio, Suji Ceramics turns a love of houseplants and pottery into handmade ceramic planters, jewelry, and small home goods. Ceramicist Suji began making her own planters after running out of distinctive homes for a collection that grew to more than 130 plants, and she still designs pieces around the beauty of the plants they hold. Every product is made from start to finish by Suji in New York, so each one carries the small variations of handwork and clay.
BembienFounded in 2017 by Yi-Mei Truxes, Bembien is a Greenpoint, Brooklyn accessories brand creating timeless handbags and lifestyle pieces by hand in small batches. Its rattan basket bags, handwoven leather designs and silk scarves connect modern silhouettes with artisan techniques passed down through generations; a single handbag can take up to 10 days to complete. Bembien works with local, women-led weaving communities around the world to help sustain craft heritage.
