Hydra-Tech Pumps designs and manufactures hydraulically driven submersible pumps and hydraulic power units from its Pennsylvania factory. The company traces its work to 1978, when Ken Reim built its first HT8G power units and S2 pumps in his garage for an order bound for Sierra Leone, and it now employs more than 20 people. Its variable-speed equipment is built for demanding field work, from dewatering and sewer bypass to applications such as aerial firefighting and oil-spill recovery.
