Founded in 1986 by principal engineer Robert E. Glaser, IC Engineering develops microprocessor-based telecommunications equipment and custom voice and data systems in Owings Mills. Its products include the ARONTS telephone network test system, the remotely accessed RTS-2, and the Modem Security Enforcer, while its University Microcontroller Trainer and accompanying textbook carry the company’s engineering work into the classroom. The company also undertakes custom hardware and firmware development, drawing on Glaser’s experience as a Johns Hopkins engineering lecturer.
