Born from four home brewers’ shared project, Ill Mannered Brewing Company has made handcrafted beer in Powell since 2015, brewing in small 186-gallon batches on its six-barrel electric system. That scale lets the team experiment and keep new beers rotating through the taps. The brewery now also welcomes guests at a second taproom and barrel house in a rehabilitated 150-year-old former horse tack shop in Marysville.
Paladin BrewingOpened in 2015 by Austintown couple John and Abby Chandler, Paladin Brewing makes locally brewed beer on a 15-barrel system and serves it in a family-friendly tavern. John’s home-brewing hobby grew into what the brewery describes as the Youngstown area’s first 15-barrel brewery, with more than 20 beer styles on tap and a kitchen added in 2021.
