Founded in 2019 by experimental nuclear physicist Vasily Jorjadze, IM Technologies develops environmentally focused material-processing systems using patented, constant-current plasma arc technology. The U.S.-based startup applies extreme-temperature processing to challenges including rare-earth extraction, waste conversion and water purification. Its three senior leaders bring decades of experience in nuclear physics, technology development and commercialization, with early development supported by PowerBridgeNY and Stony Brook University.

Mission Critical MaterialsBorn from West Virginia University research, Mission Critical Materials recovers heavy rare earth elements from acid mine drainage while improving water quality at legacy mining sites. Launched in December 2025, the U.S.-based company is commercializing a modular process demonstrated in both Appalachian coal-mine water and hard-rock mine drainage, turning mandated environmental treatment into a domestic source of materials for defense and advanced manufacturing. Its work is supported by more than $35 million in U.S. government funding.
Iron City OxidationsIron City Oxidations (ICO) was formed in 2018 to protect human health and the environment by destroying harmful contaminants on surfaces and in the air and water. The company's principal technology is a series of patent-pending oxidation catalysts invented at Carnegie Mellon University, which create 'fire in water' to 'burn' targets when combined with small amounts of oxidant.PITTSBURGH, PA
SharpPulse CorpSharpPulse Corp is developing patented, electric-energy methods to recycle critical minerals and rare earth elements without carbon emissions or pollution. Founded by scientists and business executives focused on climate change, the company describes its approach as “Recycling 2.0” for advanced materials, addressing the energy use and toxic pollutants associated with conventional recycling.NEW YORK, NY
CURIO Legacy Ventures, IncCURIO Legacy Ventures grew from a mission conceived by Rabbi Yechezkel Moskowitz and backed by his brother Yehudah Moskowitz through the Synergos Holdings deep-tech accelerator. The Washington, DC-based company develops nuclear technologies intended to close the fuel cycle, working with public and private-sector partners to turn used nuclear fuel into resources for future reactors and isotope applications.UNIONDALE, NY
