Founded by inventor Robert Swartz after he began developing its technology in 2009, Impossible Objects makes industrial 3D printers and composite parts through its proprietary Composite-Based Additive Manufacturing process. Its CBAM technology combines long-fiber carbon or fiberglass with thermoplastic polymers, enabling the company to produce strong, lightweight parts and electronics tooling at production-scale speeds. The company’s CBAM 25 printer is designed for high-volume manufacturing, while Impossible Objects also prints custom parts for demanding applications.
