Industrial Pallet Corp. has been making new and recycled pallets since 1986, when founder Jon Schwab started building them with a five-person crew in a Remington, Indiana, machine shed. Now employing more than 600 people, the company combines vertically integrated pallet manufacturing with recycling and reverse-logistics services, using in-house design software and automated inspection technology. IPC also turns used pallets and production byproducts into reusable materials, including landscape mulch and animal bedding.
