Founded by Tom Boyer in 2006, veteran-owned IR.Tools™ manufactures infrared identification and thermal-training products for military, law-enforcement, hunting, and sportsmen communities. The company grew from a single military-grade glow patch into a U.S.-made operation producing custom IFF patches and NIST-aligned thermal drone-training discs, with its SandStorm Technology™ designed to improve patch durability and infrared visibility. In 2026, IR.Tools marks 20 years of developing products intended to help people identify, protect, and train in infrared environments.
