Founded in Buffalo in 1867 as a machine builder, J.D. Cousins now designs and fabricates custom heat exchangers and pressure vessels for industrial production plants. The family-owned company has operated at its current Buffalo location since 1904, expanded to more than 25,000 square feet, and has maintained ASME Code certification since earning it shortly after World War II. Its engineers and welders build equipment to project-specific requirements, including oversized and specialty-material designs, for customers across the United States and internationally.
