In an Ohio workshop, sculptor-trained John Strauss and interior designer Carisa Marie create limited-edition furniture, lighting and sculptural objects for designers, architects and meaningful spaces. Strauss brings more than 30 years of furniture-making experience, while Marie adds two decades in interior design; together, they combine modern technology with traditional joinery and hand finishing. Their work is made in the United States through an atelier of regional craftspeople, including wood specialists in the nearby Amish community, and is individually branded and dated.

• A Carpenter's Son Design CompanyBorn in Columbus in 2015 as Josh and Laura Scheutzow’s adoption-fundraising woodworking project, A Carpenter’s Son Design Company now builds custom furniture for homes and commercial spaces. The company grew from selling more than 500 Ohio-shaped cutting boards into a 10,000-square-foot Worthington shop, with work ranging from heirloom residential pieces to major installations such as more than 240 pieces for Lower.com Stadium.
