Since its 1989 management buy-out from Lucas Automotive, Birmingham-based LAP Electrical has designed, manufactured and distributed automotive electro-mechanical products, including vehicle lighting and warning equipment. The privately owned company employs 80 people at its 3,000m² Great Barr site, where it develops products for construction, agricultural and road-going vehicles and exports to more than 40 countries.
